FiRe going Order
Uncategorized September 14th, 2008With pain in our hearts after some hours of pretty heavy discussion on ventrillo my guild decided to go Order, which means I’m obviously not going to play a Black Orc. The only option I see atm is the Ironbreaker (no, not going to play Swordmaster, tyvm), so that’s the direction this blog will have to take.
Now I also must add vodka to my list of preparation, I don’t think I’ll be able to roll IB sober.

Not really, we had a long debate about it and pretty much everybody agreed to roll Order, not happy about that, but in the long run, with destro overpopulating order 2:1, it’s a good decision. It will be faster to level up in RvR with 20 seconds queues opposing to 20 minutes.

similar thing just happend to my Guild, we where originaly going Destruction but now we went order insted, had to completly redesign our guilds website cuss it had a Destruction Theme to it :p with red colors and all, everything went blue’ish insted now :p

It has only just struck me that I may have seen you about in WoW, unless there is another FiRe guild running about with Masakari and Sandman - or unless you didn’t really play with them during WoW.

uhm yeah - similar names
Masakari was one of the first GM’s that I remember seeing running around, looked seriously bad-ass in the day - I’m getting confused with Makani or however it was spelt.
Don’t recall seeing you about though, were you playing under Terhix as the name?

Playing on a french server (as I’m myself french), I’ll carefully read your blog coz… I’ll reroll IB tonight, bored of my Witch Hunter.
The data you gave about the Black Ork, and Tanks in general, were truly interesting, giving me a pretty good idea of the WAR mecanisms.

Don’t think so, Destruction has just so applealing classes and races it’s not even funny, Mythic has overdone that part when they wanted the bad side to look badass. Basically speaking, Order is the new Horde.

Have you ever considered just… I don’t know… Rolling on a server where there’s an even population of order and destruction? 1 or 2 servers is not a good representation of all the servers. This would solve your “20 Minute ques”, and to respond to the “order is the new horde”, that’s complete trash. Granted some kids may see Dark elves as “OMG I CAN HAZ EVEEL LEGOLAZ?”, but look at wow. Its all about races, kids adapt more easily with dwarves, humans, and elves. Besides, the same thing will happen with AoC, all the kids will leave within the first month and head back to wow.
BUT lets just say that even all the kids on the server decided to go destruction even though you chose an even server. 1:1 destruction and order, you sound like a very dedicated guild if you willing to roll order because of them… whats to stop you from just grouping and PvP’ing within the guild. When you que for a battle, it does allow you to go with your group. Nobody puts a gun to your head and screams at you if you PvE or RvR with guildmates.

Not afraid of kids, it’s just the fact that being an underdog gives a much better gaming experience - shorter queues, battle objectives and keeps always to be taken by order, and when you win in open world you can say “you outnumber us, and we still kick your arse”.

In order is one race to choose do you know which? DWARFS are only way to be pro and feel da pain in da ass. My choose is simply iron breaker. I wanted play slayer but mythic and they leazy ass didn’t make it. Sometimes i think all these shit is same i mean blizz=mythic=funcom

I hope the guilds that moved are making the right decision. Mine was in discussion abou it also but we are waiting a few days after normal release to see what happens. Personally being in DAOC and WOW beta i think once normal release happens you are going to see a LOT more order. A lot of beta people are hardcore gamers and we tend to play the ‘evil’ side more, but once the newbies start joining i see a lot of legolis (hell i already have) and a shit load of bright wizards. I guess no one will know until a a week or so from now. Good luck on the other side.
